On November 19, 2024, our institution witnessed a significant academic exchange event as Prof. Masamichi Ogasawara from Tokushima University and Prof. Zhe Xu from The Chinese University of  Hong Kong visited to our group and the college of chemistry. The arrival of these two distinguished professors brought a wave of academic enthusiasm.

Both professors proceeded to give wonderful and highly informative lectures. Prof. Masamichi Ogasawara focused his presentation on the topic of Palladium-Catalyzed Asymmetric Synthesis of Axially Chiral Allenes and delved into its Applications in Total Synthesis of Allenic Natural Products, shedding light on the intricate chemical processes and potential breakthroughs in this area. Meanwhile, Prof. Zhe Xu reported on the subject of Accessing Fluorinated Molecules Through Perfluoroalkylation and C-F Bond Functionalization, providing valuable insights and the latest research findings that are likely to have a profound impact on the field of fluorinated molecule research. This visit and lecture series have not only enhanced the academic atmosphere but also opened up new avenues for future collaborations and research advancements within our academic community.
