Photochemical Synthesis

Visible light is omnipresent in our daily lives, providing immense convenience to production and daily activities. In recent years, the development of photochemical synthesis and various catalytic modes has opened up new avenues for generating active intermediates under mild conditions, which has proven to be crucial in drug and material synthesis. Since 2008, we have developed numerous efficient and environmentally-friendly photochemical synthesis strategies, such as chiral bifunctional catalysis, oxidative deprotonation electron transfer (ODET), and [2+2] cyclization via energy transfer pathways. These innovative strategies have provided novel solutions for the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds and chirality construction.
