On September 14, 2025, the DanGui Forum: 2025 Catalytic Synthetic Chemistry Frontiers Interdisciplinary Forum was successfully held at the College of Chemistry, Central China Normal University. The forum invited leading scientists in catalytic synthetic chemistry and related fields from across China, including Academician Feng-Ling Qing from the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Liuzhu Gong from the University of Science and Technology of China/Southwest University of Science and Technology, and Prof. Tao Tu from Ningxia University/Fudan University. The invited experts presented hot topics, the latest research progress, and academic frontiers in catalytic synthetic chemistry from various perspectives, and engaged in enthusiastic academic discussions and exchanges with faculty and students.

The forum was co-chaired by Prof. Wen-Jing Xiao, Prof. Jia-Rong Chen and Prof. Liang-Qiu Lu from the College of Chemistry. Prof. Jia-Rong Chen chaired the session to start. Then, Prof. Wen-Jing Xiao delivered a welcome speech, greeting all participating experts and scholars as the forum chair, followed by a group photo session. Afterward, Academician Feng-Ling Qing from the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences presented an academic report titled "Synthesis and Reaction of Pentafluorosulfanyl (SF5)-Containing Reagents." Prof. Liuzhu Gong from University of Science and Technology of China/Southwest University of Science and Technology delivered a presentation on "Catalytic Asymmetric Allylic C–H Functionalization." Prof. Tao Tu from Ningxia University/Fudan University presented his report on "Creation of Solid Molecular Catalysts and Value-Added Utilization of Resource Molecules."

After each presentation, faculty and students actively asked questions, creating a strong academic atmosphere. Following the conclusion of the three experts’ reports, the DanGui Forum: 2025 Catalytic Synthetic Chemistry Frontiers Interdisciplinary Forum came to a successful close. The forum provided a high-level platform for interdisciplinary innovation in catalytic synthetic chemistry and effectively promoted academic dialogue between the college and leading domestic research institutions.
