We report a chiral squaramide-catalyzed asymmetric conjugate addition reaction of 3-substituted oxindoles to a-phosphonoacrylates, affording phosprous analogues of amino acids in excellent yields with good to excellent diastereo and enantioselectivities. Congratulations! [link]
