    On October 24, 2025, the DanGui Forum: Cutting-Edge Synthetic Chemistry Symposium was successfully held at the College of Chemistry, Central China Normal University. The forum invited renowned scientists from across China in the field of synthetic chemistry and related disciplines. The attending experts presented cutting-edge topics, the latest research progress, and academic frontiers in synthetic chemistry from various perspectives and engaged in in-depth academic discussions with participating faculty and students.

    In the morning of October 24, Prof. Wen-Jing Xiao extended a warm welcome on behalf of the institute. The morning academic session was co-hosted by Prof. Liang-Qiu Lu and Prof. Zhihan Zhang. And Prof. Jiaxi Xu from Beijing University of Chemical Technology delivered a lecture titled “Reactions of Phosphinoketene with Unsaturated Compounds.” Prof. Dongsheng Guo from Nankai University presented a lecture titled “Bio-Medical Supramolecular Materials with High-Efficiency Recognition.” Prof. Dahui Qu from East China University of Science and Technology gave a talk on “Dynamic Disulfide Chemistry and Functional Materials.” Prof. Jianwei Sun from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology delivered a lecture titled “Enantioselective Nucleophilic α-Functionalization of Carbonyl Compounds.”

    In the afternoon, the session was co-hosted by Prof. Jia-Rong Chen and Prof. Xiaoye Yu. Prof. Wenjun Tang from Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences gave a lecture titled “Ligand-Enabled [3,3] σ-Rearrangement Reactions.” Prof. Bingfeng Shi from Zhejiang University delivered a talk on “Base Metal-Catalyzed Asymmetric C–H Activation.” Prof. Yong Huang from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology presented a lecture titled “Visible-Light-Catalyzed Carbon–Carbon Bond Cleavage of Arenes.” Prof. Michael Fuk Yee KWONG from Chinese University of Hong Kong gave a lecture on “Steric-on-Demand Phosphine Ligands for Tackling Highly Steric-Congested Cross-Coupling Processes.” Prof. Xiaodan Zhao from Sun Yat-sen University presented a report entitled “Electrophile-Promoted Transformations of Alkenes and Alkynes.”
